RSSB JEN Recruitment 2026 : The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 on behalf of the Public Works Department, Water Resources Department, and Public Health Engineering Department for the Joint Direct Recruitment of 874 Junior Engineer (Kanishtha Abhiyanta) posts. The detailed notification has been issued by RSSB, Jaipur for filling Junior Engineer posts across three departments — Public Works (PWD), Water Resources, and Public Health Engineering — through a joint direct recruitment process governed by the respective departmental service rules and the Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate, Ministerial and Class-IV Service (Recruitment and Other Service Conditions) Rules, 2014, for scheduled area appointments.
Degree in Civil Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by law in India, or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government
JEN (Civil) — Diploma
Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, or a Diploma recognized by the Institute of Engineers for the purpose of exemption from the associate membership examination
JEN (Mechanical/Electrical) — Diploma
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, or an equivalent Institute of Engineers-recognized Diploma
All candidates must also have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. Candidates in their final year of the qualifying course may apply, but must acquire the required qualification by the date of the examination — those obtaining it after the exam date will not be considered eligible.

SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS male candidates (Rajasthan domicile): 5 years
General category women: 5 years

Widows and divorced women: No upper age limit (must be below the retirement age fixed by the state)
Ex-servicemen: 15 years relaxation (per Rajasthan Civil Services Ex-servicemen Rules, 1988), with upper limit capped at 50 years generally (55 years where lower-post experience is mandatory)
Persons with benchmark disabilities: Additional 5 years over and above the relaxation applicable to their category
Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th Pay Commission. During the two-year probation period, a fixed monthly remuneration (as notified by the state government) will be paid instead of the regular pay scale, and no additional allowances (HRA, DA, City Compensatory Allowance, Special Pay, etc.) will be admissible during this period.

How to Apply Online for Rajasthan Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026?
Visit the SSO Portal at http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in using your SSO ID.
Select the “Recruitment Portal” under Citizen Apps (G2C) and click “Apply Now.”
If you haven’t completed One Time Registration (OTR), register first by entering your category (Unreserved/Reserved), disability status, and home state details, then pay the OTR fee.
Once OTR is complete, proceed to fill the online application form using your SSO ID.

Important: Information fetched from OTR (name, father’s name, date of birth, photograph, signature, thumb impression) cannot be edited within the application form directly — any correction must be made in the OTR profile itself before the OTR data is re-fetched into the application.

Selection will be made purely through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) / Tablet-Based Test (TBT) / OMR-Based Offline Test — the mode will be decided by the Board and communicated separately. If conducted in multiple sessions, scores will be normalized across sessions.
