BHEL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli has released three separate notifications on 14th August 2026 for engagement of Trade Apprentices, Technician Apprentices, and Graduate Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973. Graduate Apprentice
10+2 and a Regular Full Time Graduation in the specified Engineering discipline/Commerce (B.Com)/Arts (B.A), with min. 60% marks for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS and 50% for SC/ST
Passing Year Restriction: Technician and Graduate Apprentice candidates must have completed their Diploma/Degree in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 to be eligible. Distance Learning/Part-Time/Correspondence/Sandwich courses are not considered for any category.
Domicile Preference: Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from government-recognized institutions located in Tamil Nadu will only be considered for selection. Vacancies will be opened to other candidates only if suitable Tamil Nadu candidates are unavailable for a given branch.
All figures are consolidated and paid for the entire one-year training duration. Subsidized food and hostel facilities are available.

Applying involves a two-step registration process — first on the relevant Government of India portal, then on the BHEL Trichy portal.
Step 1: Register on the Government Portal
Trade Apprentice candidates must register at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (RDSDE/NAPS Portal).
Technician and Graduate Apprentice candidates must register at https://nats.education.gov.in (MHRD NATS 2.0 Portal).
Complete Aadhaar verification and e-KYC (bank details and IFSC code) as part of registration.
Note down the unique Registration/Student Enrolment Number generated — this is mandatory for the BHEL application.
Step 2: Apply on BHEL Trichy Portal
Visit https://trichy.bhel.com and click “Apprenticeship Application Portal (TRICHY)”.
Click “Register”, accept the instructions by clicking “I agree”, and submit the registration form.
An OTP will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number; use it to create a new password.
Log in with the new password and fill in the application form completely.
Upload scanned copies of the required documents (see below).
Submit the application and save a copy for future reference and document verification.

BHEL Trichy Apprentice Selection Process 2026-27
Selection is based purely on merit drawn from the marks secured in the qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Degree, as applicable) — there is no separate written test. In case of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age will be preferred.
Important Points to Note
No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for document verification or joining.
All future communication will happen only through website/email/SMS alerts, so candidates must keep an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least the next one year.
Canvassing in any form will render a candidate ineligible.
On completion of the apprenticeship period, BHEL has no obligation to offer employment, and candidates cannot claim employment rights merely on the ground of completing the apprenticeship.
