UKSSSC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the detailed eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement for each post before proceeding to fill out their application forms.
Age Limit (reckoned as on 1 July 2026):
For Assistant Accountant/Junior Auditor (Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan): minimum 18 years, maximum 42 years (born between 2 July 1984 and 1 July 2008).
For all other posts: minimum 21 years, maximum 42 years (born between 2 July 1984 and 1 July 2005).
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttarakhand, 10 years for Divyang (differently-abled) candidates of Uttarakhand, and 5 years for dependents of freedom fighters of Uttarakhand, as per applicable government orders. Ex-servicemen of Uttarakhand may deduct their period of armed forces service from their actual age, subject to the resultant age not exceeding the prescribed upper limit by more than 3 years.
Educational Qualification (varies by post; broadly):
Most Assistant Accountant posts require a graduation degree in Commerce (2nd Division) or equivalent (B.Com/BBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy), along with computer proficiency and a typing speed of 4,000 key depressions per hour in Hindi/English.
The Accountant (Bridcul) post requires B.Com with MBA (Finance)/PGDBA (Finance) or M.Com, with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector/reputed limited company, plus at least 3 years served in the relevant post/grade immediately below the applied post.
The Office Assistant Tertiary (Accounts) post requires B.Com with strong knowledge of Hindi Devanagari script, along with minimum typing speeds of 6,000 key depressions/hour in Hindi and 7,000 in English, plus a one-year computer diploma/certificate.
Preferential qualifications (all posts): minimum 2 years’ service in the Territorial Army, or an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate.
Eligibility for Application (outside UPSC purview, Group ‘C’): Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following:
Registration at an employment exchange office located in Uttarakhand before the application closing date; or
Holding a domicile/permanent residence certificate of Uttarakhand; or
Having passed High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) from institutions recognised and located within Uttarakhand.

Type of Exam: Objective-type, Multiple Choice Questions (offline mode).
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 2 hours
Syllabus: Questions will be based on the educational qualification prescribed for the post (refer to Appendix 1 in the notification for the detailed syllabus).
Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for Unreserved and OBC category candidates; 35% for SC/ST category candidates. Candidates scoring below this will be considered unqualified.
Negative Marking: One-fourth of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Marking more than one answer to a question is also treated as incorrect and negatively marked. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
OMR Sheets: Answer sheets will be in triplicate; candidates must submit the original and second copy to the invigilator, retaining the third copy for themselves. The use of whitener or scratching/cutting on the OMR sheet is prohibited and will attract negative marking.
Candidates are permitted to carry the question booklet home after the offline exam.
