Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Primary School Teacher (Class 1–5): Initial Pay ₹25,000/- per month + other allowances as prescribed by the Bihar Government.
• Middle School Teacher (Class 6–8): Initial Pay ₹28,000/- per month + other allowances.
• Secondary School Teacher (Class 9–10): Initial Pay ₹31,000/- per month + other allowances.
• Senior Secondary School Teacher (Class 11–12): Initial Pay ₹32,000/- per month + other allowances.
• Additional Benefits: DA, HRA and other allowances as applicable under Bihar Government rules.
• Career Growth: Promotion and other service benefits as per applicable Bihar Government service rules.

Exam Pattern

• Preliminary Examination:
  • Type: Objective / Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Subject: General Studies
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

• Main Examination:
  • Type: Objective / Multiple Choice Questions
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

• Main Exam Paper Structure:
  • Primary Teacher (Class 1–5): Language (Qualifying) + General Studies; 150 questions/marks.
  • Middle School Teacher (Class 6–8): Language (30) + General Studies (40) + Subject (80) = 150 questions/marks.
  • Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10): Language (30) + General Studies (40) + Subject (80) = 150 questions/marks.
  • Senior Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12): Language (30) + General Studies (40) + Subject (80) = 150 questions/marks.
• There will be five options for each question. If a candidate leaves a question unanswered without selecting the prescribed “E” option, 1/3 mark will be deducted.
