CFA Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

The selection process for Trade Apprentices is purely merit-based, with separate merit lists prepared for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories. There is no written exam or interview; shortlisting is done on the basis of marks obtained in Madhyamik/Class-X and, for Ex-ITI candidates, ITI marks as well. CFA Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirements in terms of educational qualifications and age limits. The required criteria are as mentioned below.

Educational Qualification

For Non-ITI Category: Candidates should have passed Madhyamik (Class X standard or equivalent) as on the closing date of application, with a minimum of 50% marks as per the criteria of the concerned Board, and a minimum of 40% marks in both Mathematics and Science.

For ITI Category: Candidates should have passed the relevant trade test from an institute recognised by NCVT or SCVT (or any other authority notified by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment), with a minimum of 50% marks in the ITI examination. In addition, candidates must have passed Madhyamik/Class-X or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.

Age Limit

The age limit is as per Section 3(a) of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Clause 3 of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme-2 (NAPS-2).

1. Download and print the application form from the official link.
2. Fill up the form in BLOCK LETTERS, ensuring name, father’s name, date of birth, and marks obtained exactly match the Matriculation/equivalent certificate.
3. Attach one extra self-attested photograph (signed on the back) along with other enclosures.
4. CFA Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection of eligible candidates will be done purely on the basis of merit. Separate merit lists will be prepared for the Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories.

• Non-ITI Category: Merit list based on the overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik/Matriculation (Class-X or equivalent), considering the aggregate of all subjects or the best of 5 subjects as per the concerned board’s criteria.
• Ex-ITI Category: Merit list based on the simple average of percentage of marks in both Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% in each).
• Document Verification and Medical Examination: Only provisionally selected candidates, as per the merit/select list, will be called for document verification, followed by a medical examination at Cordite Factory premises.
