DGQA Technician Vacancy 2026 Out
The DGQA has announced 15 vacancies for Technician (Semi-Skilled) across three establishments, distributed by trade and category.
Selected candidates shall be initially appointed on probation for two years at Avadi (Chennai), Yeddumailaram (Telangana), or Meenambakkam (Chennai), and are liable to serve anywhere within the Union of India, including field locations/remote areas.
Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirements in terms of nationality, educational qualifications, and age limit. The required criteria are as mentioned below.
Nationality
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification (Trade-wise)
Fitter Auto: ITI pass certificate in Automobile/Motor Vehicle Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic trade, or equivalent Defence Services Tradesman course approved by the Central/State Government.
Electrician Mate: ITI pass certificate in Electrician trade, or equivalent Defence Services Tradesman course approved by the Central/State Government.
Labourer: ITI pass certificate in any trade, or Defence Services Tradesman course approved by the Central/State Government.
Age Limit
Candidates should be between 18-27 years as on the application closing date. Date of birth must be as per the 10th/Matriculation Certificate or Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority/e-PPO for Ex-Servicemen; Aadhaar Card will NOT be accepted as proof of date of birth.

Type the application neatly in English on A4-size paper using Arial font, size 12, and print double-sided (back to back).

DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection of eligible candidates will be done through the following stages.
Stage 1: Written Test (Objective type, Multiple Choice Questions; no negative marking)
Stage 2: Trade Test (100 marks; minimum qualifying marks – 40) for candidates shortlisted from the written test
Stage 3: Document Verification
Stage 4: Medical Examination
The final merit list will be prepared based on Trade and Establishment, considering written test marks along with qualifying the trade test.

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks (trade-cum-station wise), the tie will be resolved as follows:
Older candidates (by date of birth) will be placed higher.
If still tied, candidates with higher marks in Numerical Aptitude, then Reasoning, then General Awareness will be ranked higher.
