Note: Candidates with higher qualifications than 10th/Matric/SSLC — such as Degree/Diploma, Engineering Degree, or Course Completed Act Apprentices — are NOT eligible to apply (except for MLT, where the qualification is 12th/HSC).
ICF Act Apprentice Eligibility for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
Vacancies are reserved for persons with disability, subject to permissible disability standards per trade.
Only persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability are eligible for reservation. A disability certificate issued by the Central/State Government is mandatory to avail this benefit.

How to Apply for ICF Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026?
Read the notification thoroughly and keep all relevant documents/certificates ready, along with a recent passport-size photograph (max 200 KB, jpg/jpeg).
Register online; the system-generated Registration ID and date of birth (in ddmmyyyy format) serve as login credentials.
Fill in the online application form correctly and submit.
Pay the processing fee of ₹100/- plus applicable service charges through online mode (fee exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates).
Preserve the Transaction ID (starting with ‘DU’) sent to the registered mobile number.
Generate and print the acknowledgement form after final submission — required at the time of Document Verification.
ICF Act Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Merit List: Based on marks obtained in Std X (for COVID-batch candidates, IX std marksheet or X std half-yearly marksheet duly signed by the Principal will be considered).
Tie-breaker: Older candidate preferred in case of equal marks; if DOB is also same, the candidate who passed Std X earlier is considered first.
Allotment of Trade: Freshers exercise trade preference; allotment is based on merit order and vacancy availability. Once allotted, trade change requests will not be entertained. PwBD candidates are allotted only the trade permissible to their disability category. Ex-ITI candidates are trained in the trade matching their ITI certificate.
Medical Examination: Selected candidates must produce a Medical Certificate at document verification, signed by a Government-authorized doctor (Gazetted) not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of a Central/State Hospital.
Transfer Certificate: Original Transfer Certificate for the qualifying examination (Std X/XII/ITI) must be produced during document verification.
Declaration: Candidates must submit a declaration acknowledging they have no right to employment in ICF/Railways in future.
