Application Fee

  • Application Fee: ₹100/- (for all posts)
  • Processing Fee (to be paid initially): ₹500/- per application


  • Category-wise Refund

    • Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Full refund of the ₹500 processing fee after appearing in the Written Test/CBT.
    • General / OBC / EWS: ₹400 refunded after appearing in the Written Test/CBT, with ₹100 retained as the application fee.

Age Limit & Selection Process

  • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years (as on 16 August 2026)
  • Selection Process: Written Test followed by Skill Test

Assistant  113 Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 from a recognized University, completed within the prescribed duration, with proficiency in the use of Computers.
Junior Personal Assistant (JPA)  81 Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10, one year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer (or equivalent), 60 w.p.m. English Stenography, and proficiency in Computer use.
Upper Division Clerk (UDC)  22 Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 from a recognized University, completed within the prescribed duration, with proficiency in the use of Computers.
Stenographer  10 Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10, one year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer (or equivalent), 60 w.p.m. English Stenography, and proficiency in Computer use
Assistant (Autonomous Institutions under DOS) 17 Same qualification as Assistant
Junior Personal Assistant (Autonomous Institutions under DOS) 01 Same qualification as Personal Assistant

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Assistant: Pay Level 4 – ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
  • Junior Personal Assistant (JPA): Pay Level 4 – ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
  • Upper Division Clerk (UDC): Pay Level 4 – ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
  • Stenographer: Pay Level 4 – ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- (7th CPC Pay Matrix)

  • Exam Duration: 150 Minutes
  • Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each incorrect answer

  • General English – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • General Knowledge – 50 Questions (50 Marks)

For Junior Personal Assistant (JPA) / Stenographer

  • Exam Mode: Written Test (Objective Type)
  • Total Questions: 200
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Exam Duration: 150 Minutes
  • Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer

Exam Centers

  • The ISRO ICRB Written Test will be conducted at 38 exam centres across India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and other major cities. ISRO reserves the right to change the exam centre if required.
